Francis House Programs run Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Warm Meals:
Every program day at noon we share a meal where love, joy, and friendship overflow. Meals are provided through donations of food and money and are mainly cooked by volunteers.
Program Schedule:
Social Tuesdays includes arts and crafts programs as well as support groups, faith sharing, day trips and spiritual retreats.
Thursday is a casual day. We watch movies, we clean, we share life together.
Education Fridays includes presentations by drug representatives, dental programs, medication management seminars and other pertinent information for Francis House guests.
Personal Cares, Clothing, and Food
Francis House provides personal care items to guests on a monthly basis. Guests are required to attend Francis House services 6 times over the course of the month to receive personal cares items.
The Clothing Pantry at Francis House is stocked entirely by donations and is a free service to all guests. Clothing is provided to guests as requested. A $.50 per bag donation by those who access the Clothing Pantry is welcomed.
The Food Pantry serves Francis House guests on an as needed basis. We sometimes receive large donations and are then able to do a significant distribution to Francis House guests.
Spiritual Retreats & Day Trips
For the past 12 years, Francis House has offered spiritual retreats and day trips at Cranalieth, state parks, and the Romero Center. In 2008-2009 and in 2009-2010, we received a grant from the School Sisters of Notre Dame Fund for Gay and Lesbian Ministries to provide spiritual retreats throughout the year.
Other Services
Francis House is blessed with volunteers and partners who offer services such as massage therapy, substance abuse counseling, faith sharing, and mentors.
