St. Anthony of Padua School
Esposito Reading Room
Every student deserves the opportunity to fall in love with reading. Every child should have the ability to bring a book home to read with their families. Every student needs a place that is inviting and that challenges them academically. St. Anthony of Padua School provides children in Camden with an excellent, Catholic education. But now it will be even better!
Thanks to the generous donation of Ed and Helen Esposito, St. Anthony of Padua School is building the Espositio Reading Room (a small library in Barnes & Nobles style) for the students. It will be a place that invites students to fall in love with reading and language. It will be a place where teachers can bring their students to be read to and to help them choose books that will encourage reading on their own. The Reading Room will help us to promote literacy for our children.
We reached our goal and were able to dedicate the Esposito Reading Room on January 31, 2010.
There are still ways you can help in the reading room, like coming in to catalogue books, staffing the Reading Room for a few hours per week, or coming in to read with students or tutor students during the after-school program. Please contact the school office at 856-966-6791 if you are interested in volunteering in the Esposito Reading Room.
